Latest collaboration: Guy was commissioned as part of the 2025 Adam Reynolds Award Shortlist project to make three new sculptural artworks for the Shape Open exhibition Rights Cuts Action

Artist statement: Guy Morris is a mixed-media visual artist based in Aylesbury, whose practice spans kinetic sculpture, interactive installations, and bold, visually striking objects. His work often sits between reverie and irreverence, combining low-brow imagery and materials with higher-brow intent. By creating ‘stuff no one needs or asks for’ (but that he feels compelled to make) Morris expresses ideas about society, life, and culture that are otherwise difficult to articulate.

A graduate of Northumbria University (Fine Art, 2004), Morris’s practice has been a constant driving force throughout his life, even after a traffic accident left him with a spinal injury and reliant on a wheelchair. His work explores themes of disability, identity, masculinity, and popular culture, often with a sharp political edge.
